Household Goods

Here you’ll find our household items that we love or that have ultimate utility. Most of these have been in our homes for years now!

Conquest Maps

We recently discovered Conquest Maps and added a gorgeous map to our home. Our entire family loves this map. We use it to keep track of where we’ve been and where we’d like to go.

Regalo Kid’s Cot

These are great for traveling but also the only way we can sleep sometimes at home. We keep them ready in our bedroom in case one of the kids needs to sleep close to us on any given night.

Sonos Speakers

We discovered Sonos in 2012 and have slowly been adding to our collection of speakers over the years. These are much more capable than your standard bluetooth capable speaker.

Chemex

We’ve been using a Chemex since 2015 and cannot go back to using a brewing machine. Easy to clean, portable, and makes an excellent cup of coffee!

Dyson Vacuum

During our travels we’ve come across several types of vacuums in the Airbnbs that we have stayed in. The Dyson’s seemed to be the most reliable. This one is our favorite. The Dyson v12 is used everyday in our household and it’s small enough that the older kids can help out with the chores!

iRobot Roomba

We have had an iRobot Roomba since 2012. In 2022 (after 10 years) our “Rosie” decided to retire and we had to replace her with “Rosie 2”. iRobot offers a bunch of options, but this entry-level model works just fine for us. We keep her in the living area and use her several times a week.

Clevermade Crates

When we began our nomadic travels in 2020 we found this brand of crates for moving our belongings between our van and Airbnbs. We now keep these in our car as an alternative to shopping bags. They’re also handy to quickly empty the car of all the kids’ belongings left behind for the day.

Bigant Crates

These are a relatively new discovery for us but they are extremely useful in garage storage. These are very durable and stackable, allowing for creation of dynamic storage options. We use them for our “toy library” (i.e. toy overflow from the house) in the garage.
